What is FlexGEM?
The FlexGEM software solution is the link to the successful integration of a manufacturing tool into a factory system
of a semiconductor or solar cell production facility. The scalable client-server architecture allows for simple
and fast implementation of a SEMI standard compliant interface with full SECS, GEM and PV2 functionality.
The core is the GEMBox as FlexGEM Server. It communicates on the one hand with the MES/host system
and on the other hand with the GEMClient instances integrated into the control software of the tool.
The GEMClient instances integrated in the control software of the plant are the means of communication
with the FlexGEM Server. The centralized processing of all functions within the FlexGEM Server means that
the plant control side requires only minimal integration efforts for full utilization
