What this website does — and what it does not

This website is purely informational and consists of static files only. As a result:

  • We set no cookies and store nothing in your browser’s local storage. A cookie banner is therefore not required.
  • We embed no third-party content. Fonts, images, icons and the little JavaScript required are served exclusively from our own server. There are no content delivery networks, no font services, no social media plugins and no embedded maps or videos.
  • We use no analytics or tracking tool. No usage profiles are created.
  • There are no forms. Enquiries and applications reach us by e-mail or telephone.

General information

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Our website can be used without providing personal data. Where you do provide us with personal data (such as your name, address or e-mail address), this is always on a voluntary basis. This data will not be disclosed to third parties without your express consent.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Purpose of processing and duration of storage

The purpose of processing data is to operate a website with information about our company, our software products and our services.

Unless stated otherwise, data is stored only until the purpose for which it was entrusted to us has been fulfilled.

Where commercial, tax or administrative retention periods apply, the storage period for certain data can be up to 10 years.

Server log files

When you access our website, our web server logs the request. These server log files contain:

  • the IP address of the requesting computer
  • the date and time of the request
  • the file requested and the access method used
  • the web server’s response status (e.g. file transferred, file not found)
  • the previously visited page, if your browser transmits it (referrer)
  • browser type and version as well as the operating system used

This information arises unavoidably from the technical use of the internet and is needed to deliver the requested content correctly and to keep operations secure and free of disruption. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Log files are kept for a limited period only and are then deleted automatically. This data is not combined with other data sources, and no usage profiles are derived from it. We reserve the right to review the log files retrospectively if we become aware of concrete indications of unlawful use.

Encryption of transmission

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption methods that correspond to the current state of the art (TLS) over HTTPS.

Contacting us by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process the details you provide in order to handle your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry serves the preparation or performance of a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in handling the enquiry pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We do not pass this data on without your consent. It is deleted as soon as your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Applications

Applications reach us by e-mail at careers@fabmation.de. This website offers neither an online application form nor an upload for application documents.

We use the data you submit exclusively to process your application. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG. Internally, only those involved in the application process have access to your data; all employees entrusted with data processing are obliged to maintain confidentiality. Your data is not passed on to third parties unless you have consented or we are legally obliged to do so, or obliged by an official or court order.

Application data is deleted within six months of the conclusion of the application procedure, unless further storage is required for the purpose of providing evidence, statutory provisions continue to require it, or you have expressly agreed to a longer storage period.

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

Links to external services

Individual pages link to third-party services, for instance a map service for directions or our entry in the SEMI member directory. Such content is only loaded once you click the link and open the provider’s own site. From that point on, that provider’s privacy policy applies; we have no influence over the processing that takes place there.

Deletion and blocking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data minimisation. We therefore store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here, or as prescribed by the various statutory retention periods. Once the respective purpose ceases to apply or those periods expire, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with statutory provisions.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information about the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Where we process data on the basis of a legitimate interest, you may object to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR. Please contact the controller named above.

You may request the deletion of your data where no statutory archiving obligation exists. Where such an obligation exists, we will block your data on request. You may withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.

Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is unlawful. Further information on complaints is available from the authority responsible for us at lda.bayern.de/de/beschwerde.html.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy in future so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or in order to reflect changes to our services, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
